Tuition fees increase at two major universities, increases of up to 87%

Two of the most important higher education institutions in Iaşi, the 'Alexandru Ioan Cuza and #39; University of Iaşi and the 'Gr.T. Popa and #39; University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iaşi, will increase tuition fees starting with the 2026-2027 academic year. According to official data, the increases differ significantly, depending on the field and study program.
