* A legislative project initiated by the USR in 2018 stipulated the obligation of local authorities to start, by January 1, 2021, performing seismic expertise in all educational units built before 1978 * That project was amended by the Ciucă government in 2022 which proposed that the deadline for the start of the expertise be January 1, 2024 * The Chamber of Deputies, as a decision-making body, established that the deadline be January 1, 2025 * President Klaus Iohannis promulgated law 212/2022 with the deadline approved by the Chamber of Deputies
