Private sector enters, for the first time, into major CERN projects: 860 million euros in donations

For the first time in the history of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), donors from the private sector have pledged to contribute financially to the construction of the world and #39;s largest particle accelerator, with a total amount of 860 million euros, the Geneva-based institution announced, according to AFP.
