European Commission: Nitrogen pollution from agriculture costs up to 182 billion euros annually

Nitrogen pollution from agricultural activities produces annual costs estimated between 68 and 182 billion euros in the European Union, including for drinking water treatment and restoration of affected ecosystems, according to a report published by the European Commission and cited by the dpa agency.
