China extends freeze on BHP iron ore purchases

China and #39;s state-backed iron ore buyer instructed the country and #39;s top steelmakers and traders last week to temporarily halt all dollar purchases of seaborne iron ore from Australian giant BHP, Bloomberg reported, citing sources familiar with the matter, according to tekedia.com.
