The Danube - paralyzed by drought; Navigation, choked

The Danube, the main road that connects German industry to the ports of Austria, the plains of Hungary, the refineries of Serbia, the silos of Romania and, finally, the Black Sea, has become this summer a succession of rapids, sandbanks, underloaded ships and ports where cargo is dwindling from one day to the next, according to data published in the European and international press, whether we are talking about Reuters, Associated Press or the news sites Tagesschau, Der Standard, ORF, ZDF Heute, RTS, Telex, BTA, Nova, Agerpres or we refer to the information published by the administrations on river traffic in the related states.
