SAFE, in danger: the challenge to the CCR of the ordinance modified by the Bologna government compromises strategic defense investments

The challenge to GEO 38/2026 by the People and #39;s Advocate and the approach of the Senate Constitutionality Committee regarding the existence of a legal conflict of a constitutional nature between the Parliament and the Government risk blowing up Romania and #39;s entire allocation to the European SAFE program, at a critical moment when financing contracts must be signed by May 31, 2026, and any procedural blockage or legal suspension may compromise access to billions of euros intended for the endowment of the army and the national defense industry.
